🔐 What Are Detained Disc Locks?

REAL's Detained Disc Locks are an advanced evolution of disc tumbler lock technology. Unlike pin tumbler locks that use fragile internal springs, our locks are built with rotating discs made from high-grade brass, providing enhanced anti-pick protection and zero spring fatigue. Each disc must be turned to the exact angle to align with the sidebar, allowing the lock to open, making forced entry significantly more difficult.

We use a zinc alloy body for superior corrosion resistance and impact durability, while the inner locking components—crafted from solid brass—are built to withstand moisture and extreme conditions, outperforming traditional spring-based cylinders that often rust and jam over time.

🗝 Master Key System Compatible (GGMK Ready)

REAL Detained Disc Locks can be customized to support a Master Key System, also known as a Great Grand Master Key System (GGMK). This allows for a hierarchical access structure:

  • One key opens one specific lock

  • A master key opens a group of locks

  • A grand master or great grand master key can open multiple systems across different departments or locations

This system is ideal for factories, storage facilities, warehouses, schools, and utility companies, where centralized control and selective access are essential for security and operational efficiency.
